Located next to the Principality of Monaco, this commune is split into several distinct areas. Firstly, there is the small village perched atop of the hill 225 meters above the sea. This old village boasts a gorgeous medieval castle, the only one remaining out of the group of “carolingiens” castles left in France. Visitors can also view the lovely 12th century church here.
There is also the more touristy town of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. Every 5th of August for the last 500 years, a new religious building has been constructed here, as a part of a religious tradition between the church and the Pausa Chapel. A famous olive tree is popular with visitors, which has been here, according to experts, for over 2000 years. The gorgeous beaches, unique to the Cote d’Azur, are also popular with visitors.
Public transport is rare, if not inexistent in this town. The best way to access this area is by car. If you do not have a car here in the French Riviera, Easy Car Booking has a range of rental cars available for your trip. Whether you are looking for a luxury car rental, and traditional car rental, or you do not have a driving licence, we have a variety of rental cars available to fit your needs.
